Affinity mapping researching findings

You ≠ User

Research is the most powerful tool we have for building successful, user-centered products. I’ve seen too many initiatives fail due to well-meaning assumptions that didn’t reflect real user needs.

To create meaningful solutions, research should be embedded throughout the design cycle—from early discovery to ongoing validation. The better we understand our users, the more confidently we can de-risk decisions and increase our odds of success.

I’ve worked with a range of research resources, from immersive field studies to lightweight surveys. Regardless of the method, I focus on balancing generative and evaluative approaches to keep insights flowing and the product moving forward.

I also see research as a collaborative force. Bringing cross-functional partners into the process builds alignment and shared understanding. When research informs not just design, but strategy, we unlock opportunities that serve both users and the business.
